The best rooms. The best flight times. The widest choice. Next summer might feel a long way off — but this is when the good stuff starts.
There comes a point when next summer goes from “we’ll think about it later” to “actually… where are we going?”
Consider this that point.
Summer 2027 is already on sale, and if you’re travelling in the school holidays, now is a very good time to start looking. Booking early means the widest choice of hotels, family rooms, villas and flight times, plus access to early booking offers before the most sought-after options start disappearing.
So, where for 2027?
Greece remains firmly on our list. Sani, Crete, Corfu, Rhodes and the smaller islands are perfect for an easy family summer, while new luxury openings are giving us even more to get excited about. More and more families are exploring more than one island, or even two hotels! Can't decide between Sani & Ikos, why not have both!
Mallorca is having another moment too, brilliant beaches, gorgeous fincas, Palma for dinner and shopping, and some seriously good family hotels. Easy, but never boring.
Or perhaps this is the year you go bigger.
We’re seeing more families looking beyond the traditional fly-and-flop: Japan, Sri Lanka, California road trips, the US National Parks and safari-and-beach combinations are all firmly on our 2027 radar.
And for those who would happily swap 38°C for mountains and lakes? Switzerland, Slovenia and Scandinavia make a very convincing case for a different kind of summer.
